CHILDREN NOW 3
From a playful mind together with creative minds thousand of children express their simple yet very meaningful concept of Peace
July 6 was the big event, CHILDREN NOW 3 was held along the Baywalk, Roxas Blvd., Manila. Over 7,000 children, parents, youth of different sectors all over Metro Manila participated in the said activity excluding the other children over the globe that will paint with the Philippine Children simultaneously.
With the projects theme, Peace through the Eyes of the Children participants share their thoughts of peace thru hand painting on a 1 kilometer canvass that will attempt to beat a Guinness Record of the largest hand painting.
17 Rotaractors from Rotaract Club of Parañaque East Rover and 42 Rotarians and their family together with the UNESCO Clubs, Office of the Presidential adviser for Special Concern have join and lend hand to make this worthy project possible.
Peace Isnt hard to achieve as what the activity has shown, all we need is unity in the quest of achieving it, may this worthy project be a big inspiration for us to continue our struggle in achieving peace for the future of our younger generation.
SISTERHOOD AGREEMET WITH RAC MALATE
In pursuance to the objective of Rotary International Friendship through Service the Rotaract Club of Parañaque East Rover signed a Sisterhood Agreement with Rotaract Club of Malate.
The signing was held at Conference Hall Philippine Womens University, Manila last March 31, 2003. The contract covers the fusion of the two clubs with a common goal of promoting international understanding, friendship and camaraderie. It involved the planning of joint project in fulfilling Rotaract and Rotary's objective.
In attendance were Club officers and members from both clubs, headed by President Sammy Webb (Malate) and President Micheal Noel Tolentino (Parañaque East Rover). PDRR and now Rotarian Robert Sunga, District Officers Fritzie Arreola and Joffrey Po, RAC Manila President Noel Gonzales, RAC Tagaytay President darvin Chia, and RAC-Hiyas ng Bacoor President Cecille Lacson were in attendance to witness the event!
CP ARIEL YOU'RE THE MAN
Charter President Ariel D. San Isidro of Rotaract Club of Parañaque East Rover was elected as District Rotaract Representative for Rotary year 2004 2005.
The election was held at Westin Philippine Plaza, Manila last March 15, 2003. From a close fight out of 5 nominees CP Ariel D. San Isidro was one able to get the highest position of a rotaractors in his district. He will serve for the Rotary year 2004 2005 and considered as Rotary Centennial Year.
CP San Isidro marks another history as the first DRR from Metro South area and the will be serving for the mot awaited year of Rotary International the Rotary Centennial Year.
At the same time the Rotary Discon Rotaract Breakaway Session 2003 was held and organized by the District Rotaract Committee.
NATIONAL PATRIOTIC MOVEMENT NCR YOUTH LEADERS COLLOQUE
The Rotaract Club of Parañaque East Rover once again represents the Rotaract Philippines at National Patriotic Movement NCR Youth Leaders Colloque.
The meeting was held at Kublai Restaurant, Quezon City on March 23, 2003. The main objective of the program is to unite the youth and form a unified movement composed of different youth organizations for national patriotism.
2 rotaractors from the club namely Michael Noel Tolentino and Ariel San Isidro serves as the voice of the Rotaract Clubs and out of school youth by sharing their views and goals as a youth.
2nd Rotary Youth Camp... Where the Adventure Begun...
Fulfilling the Rotaract Clubs theme Service thru Fellowship the Rotaract club of Parañaque East Rover hosted the 2nd Rotary Youth Camp with the support of Rotary Club of Parañaque East on March 28 31 2003.
The activity was held at PCS APR Mt. Makiling, Los Baños Laguna. Its main goal is give attendees a fun field outdoor experience and to build camaraderie among them. Participants were from different Rotaract and Interact Clubs from District 3830.
Rota quiz, artworks, bonfire were just some part of the program wherein participants display their talents and creativity. And not to forget the orienteering, rota-challenge, mini Olympics, rota relay in which the unity and cooperation of the group were tested. Lastly the wall climbing that gave the member a remarkable experience.
RAC P'que East Rover attended OP and UBELT 2GEDER
With all their pride, the Rotaract Club of Parañaque East Rover the program entitled Office of the President and University Belt Together held at Malacañang Kalayaan Ground, last March 8, 2003.
The program is attended by the representatives of various universities from Manila some of them are from PNU, TIP, UST, etc. It is mainly showcase of talents and exhibits of pride of each Universties.
7 rotaractors from the club, Ms. Tina Camilo secretary of Rotary Club of Parañaque East together with the DRR from Baguio and DRR from Mariveles, Bataan were invited to represent the Rotaract Clubs in the Philippines.
